Type headache? Treatment without insurance?

Ok, so I've been experiencing severe headaches on an almost daily basis for 3 weeks (such After 2-3 days there did not occur). Always occur at night, usually around 9-10 pm and last about two hours. Sometimes you will also receive one around noon as well. Everyone is telling me they are migraines, but I am unsure due to the fact that last 4-24 hours (which migraine is supposed to last), and are so predictable as to what time of day they occur. The pain is always on the left side of my head, and sometimes radiates towards my eye socket and nose. The pain is not affected by the counter medications. I tried ibuprofen, aspirin, Tylenol, Excedrin Migraine, Alkaseltzer pain relief, and nothing seems to help. I have also tried caffeine, which does not help relieve the pain faster. No insurance, and I'm afraid to go to the emergency room because of the $, but may have no choice. What should I do? How much will an ER trip cost me?

Migraines can occur at the same time every days if left by a specific trigger, but that disappears after a couple of hours sounds weird to me. It could be a sinus problem. Try Afrin or something. If you have a fever, could be an infection. Go to the emergency room, preferably during an attack, and make sure they know it began suddenly, and that the attacks have been everyday. Garden variety migraines do not start well. Probably order an MRI or some better diagnosis for check for life threatening conditions. Do not worry about money, worry about improving.
