Tension headaches in adults and adolescents
Tension headaches are one of most common forms of headaches and is more likely to occur in adults and adolescents also show that statistics are 40% more likely to occur in women than men could be because women tend to worry more about the family, health bills and general. Tension headaches are usually triggered by some kind of environmental stress or internal and are not associated with structural abnormalities in the brain.

These symptoms may resemble other conditions or medical problems and could be serious, so please notify your doctor immediately if one of the above symptoms. Tension headache symptoms are very different from a migraine so we will determine how they differ. A migraine is often be a kind of throbbing pain in tension headache symptoms are a continuous pain that can last for weeks or months.
Medicines
Management Tension headache is often a balance between encouraging healthy habits, finding effective treatments and use herbal medications appropriately. rebound headaches may occur from overuse of painkillers. medications containing caffeine and codeine should be avoided in cases a chronic tension headache occur and because of the risk of excessive use of medication that may cause rebound headache. Your doctor may prescribe one or more of the following drugs.
Analgesics – These medications reduce the pain of a tension headache.
Muscle relaxants – These medications help relax the cause sedation and decreased anxiety. They have little or no effect on the relaxation of the muscles of the head and neck that contribute to headache. Some of these medications can become addictive.
Tension headaches are sometimes associated with the contraction or spasms in the muscles of the head and neck and can come from bad posture or stress, which cause muscle spasms in the neck and scalp. Make sure you understand what is causing your headaches because although depression or anxiety plays here an underlying role you should seek immediate treatment. Even if your tension headaches respond well to counter analgesics, consider whether other triggers are contributing your headache and try to find a natural way to help their tension headaches.
